Violence
There are different forms of violence, but each one is a violation of body and soul. Anyone who uses violence is liable to prosecution. There should be no tolerance of violence, otherwise the perpetrators cannot be held accountable.
Violence can take various forms:
Physical violence:
Injuries such as punches, kicks, attacks with objects
Economic violence:
Deprivation of a person's independence
Psychological violence:
Controlling and humiliating the other person through verbal abuse, threats
Sexual violence:
Forced sexual contact through threats, violence or intimidation
Verbal violence:
Insulting and humiliating through racist remarks
Help
If you or your child are suffering from violence or threats, contact a help center in Liechtenstein. If the danger is acute, call the National Police on the emergency number 117 for immediate protection.
Violence in partnerships
Violence in partnerships is not uncommon in Liechtenstein either. Unfortunately, many victims do not dare to defend themselves or even report the violence.
Do not hesitate to report violent assaults and seek help and protection, because:
Every failure to report a violent crime (including sexual offenses) offers the perpetrators an opportunity to look for more victims.
