Dispatcher at the National Emergency and Operations Center (m/f/d)
 

The National Police of Liechtenstein (www.landespolizei.li) is tasked with ensuring public safety and order, investigating criminal offenses and promoting road safety. It is also responsible for international police cooperation and the operation of the National Emergency and Operations Center.

You will feel at home in the following areas of activity:

  • Receiving emergency calls for the police, fire department and emergency medical service and making decisions about triggering the necessary immediate measures and alerts
  • Coordinating and supporting the emergency services that have been called out and are on duty
  • Making challenging telephone calls to people in crisis and stressful situations (victims of accidents and crimes, witnesses, mentally disturbed people, people seeking help, etc.)
  • Operating complex IT systems
  • Structured processing of cases and orders on screen

 

You are particularly suited to this position:

  • Completed vocational training, preferably in the health or security sector or alternatively with experience from secondary employment in these areas (fire department, Samaritans, etc.)
  • Several years of professional experience
  • Willingness to work shifts and weekends as well as flexibility for event-related deployment times
  • Knowledge of English
  • Openness to and interest in further training and other special tasks (e.g. management support)
  • Ability to work under pressure, act calmly and deliberately and communicate in stressful situations
  • Liechtenstein citizenship desired
